After a first internship in Bora Bora in 2020, in collaboration with the Criobe, the municipality of Bora Bora and the association Ia Vai Ma Noa Bora Bora, on the tourist service providers and their impact on the environment, Frédérique Jossinet is doing a PhD about the different scales of biodiversity valorisation and the notion of heritage on the islands of Moorea, Bora Bora and Fakarava. Supervised by Christine Raimond (CNRS) and Tamatoa Bambridge (CNRS), her objective is to analyze the relationships between the different actors of the territory and their relationships to the conservation of the environment to understand how, in the long term, biodiversity can be preserved. Her approach is mainly qualitative, based on interviews, participatory observation but also work around new means of communication such as social networks.
