Benoît is originally from Marennes – France, a French municipality which is well-known for its oysters. After high school and a scientific baccalaureate, he obtained a Diploma in Chemistry in La Rochelle and pursued a post-diploma training to specialize in molecular and cellular biology. He then joined the CNRS as a technician and worked for some time in Bordeaux. In 2007, he joined the CRIOBE team in Moorea and is in charge of the maintenance and management of all the laboratories of the center.
Benoît participates in the actions of the Rāhui Center by performing all the water (e.g. nutrient concentration) and sediment analyses required for the different ongoing projects.
